SEG extrusion frame hardware is constructed of custom cut lightweight aluminum framing with built in channels to hold Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG). There are a variety of branded frames that can be constructed into floor standing, wall mounted and hanging displays, in addition to towers and counters. Some frames come equipped with channels on two sides, for double-sided graphics, and others just one. Many profiles can be backlit!
SEG graphics are printed on stretch fabric and finished with a thin, silicone strip sewn directly to the edge of the fabric. For installation, this silicone strip is inserted into recessed channels along the perimeter of the frame. The SEG fabric skin is drum tight when finished thus allowing for an elegant, smooth, frameless and seamless finished look to your trade show booths or marketing displays. New graphics are then easily swapped out and machine washable if need arises!
We offer a number of SEG Display products, including pop up frames (Embrace & Lumiere), tubing frames w/ SEG grooves (Casonara), among other brands with standard sized frames. On this page we will overview our VAIL, Big Sky and Vector Frame products which can be custom cut to your specifications. When designing a booth we encourage selecting complementary displays from the same printing facility to ensure consistency in colors. To that end, VAIL and Big Sky are sister brands printed in the same facility. Vector frames, printed at a different facility, can be made into walls, towers and counters.
VAIL SEG Displays
VAIL SEG frames come in 5 profiles (frame thicknesses): 40mm / 1.57in, 60mm / 2.36in, 80mm / 3.15in, 100mm / 3.94in and 120mm / 4.72in. The appropriate thickness will depend on the intended display use and size. VAIL frame graphics are printed in the same facility as Big Sky Counters and Big Sky Towers. If ordering backlit displays from both brands, please discuss with us options to adapt the lighting to match across displays.
VAIL 40D and 60D Profiles (Ideal for Hanging)
VAIL frames with profiles 40D and 60D offer double-sided extrusions with profile width of 40mm / 1.57in and 60mm / 2.36in, respectively. Given their lightweight thin double-sided profiles, these frames are ideal for hanging displays. These displays can be used free-standing, however, this is not recommended for widths greater than 5ft. We advise clients look to 100D and 120D profiles for floor standing displays to ensure maximum stability. The frames can also be used for wall mounting, however, 40S and 60S frames are a better fit for this application. This extrusion is not compatible with lights (cannot be backlit).
VAIL 40S and 60S Profiles (Ideal for Wall Mounting)
VAIL-40S and 60S frames offer a single-sided extrusion with a profile width of 40mm / 1.57in and 60mm / 2.36in, respectively. Given their thin profile and single-sided frames, these displays are ideal for wall mounting applications. These frames can also be hung overhead, however, the backside of the frame will remain uncovered. VAIL 40D and 60D profiles are a better choice for hanging. This extrusion is not compatible with lights (cannot be backlit) and we do not recommend using them free-standing.
VAIL 80S Backlit Profiles (Ideal for Wall Mounting)
VAIL-80S extrusions are single-sided with a profile width of 80mm / 3.15in. These displays come equip with edge lights to create backlit wall hanging displays. Edge light are included in the price. Ladder lights can be added upon request. A custom quote is required.
VAIL 100D Profiles (Ideal for Floor Standing)
VAIL-100D is a double-sided extrusion with a profile width of 100mm / 3.94in. The profile width makes these frames specifically good for free-standing large images (tall or wide). These frames are ideal for trade show backwalls, retail displays, expo backdrops, in offices, showrooms and more! VAIL 100D profiles can be wall mounted or hung overhead, however, the 40 and 60 profiles are a better choice for these applications given their thinner profiles and lighter weight. This extrusion is not compatible with lights (cannot be backlit).
VAIL 120D Backlit & Non-Backlit Profiles (Ideal for Floor Standing)
VAIL-120D is a double-sided extrusion with a profile width of 120mm / 4.72in. These frames can be backlit with edge-lights (standard) or ladder lights upon request. These are the thickest VAIL profiles we offer and are the most stable for free-standing displays. Ideal for floor standing applications as a trade show backwall, retail display, expo backdrop, in offices, showrooms and more! VAIL 120D profiles can be wall mounted or hung overhead, however, the 40 and 60 profiles are a better choice for these applications given their thinner profiles and lighter weight.
